The Process:

From the initial excitement of arriving at the venue to the final dance party, Carol spends her time observing and painting throughout the entire day (or multiple days) to capture those unique moments that a busy photographer might miss. The paintings are completed in Carol’s signature, loose impressionistic style - ensuring a vibrant and emotional representation of your special day. Before any painting starts, Carol conducts a one-on-one interview with the couple to gain a deeper understanding of their love, their family, and their celebration, to best capture the tiny details throughout the day that best celebrate their union. 

Materials Used:

The folio itself is truly a work of art from start to finish. The handmade cotton paper, sourced from a centuries-old Italian mill, provides a unique and textured canvas for the watercolor vignettes. Carol uses handmade, vibrant watercolors from Renesans and Holbein, adding an extra layer of richness to each painting.

Craftsmanship:

The folio you choose is bound by hand by a skilled craftsman, ensuring attention to detail and a quality finish. The cover is equally special – handmade by the artist using paper that includes petals from the bridal bouquet. The ribbon that once wrapped the bridal bouquet serves as the closure for the folio, symbolizing the union of your special day.

Each painting within the booklet is available as a signed, numbered, limited-edition print. Ranging in sizes from 4x6" to 11x14",  these prints offer a lovely way to include and thank your loved ones for attending.
